The museum houses the largest collection of work by Auguste Rodin, the father of modern sculpture. Rodin worked in the main building here, known as Hôtel Biron, and personally chose the location for all the pieces in the garden. It is such an idyllic setting, with rosebushes and fountains, that I go there twice a month just to read and draw. The life of Rodin is complex, so I suggest the audio guide. Also, don’t miss his masterpiece “The Gates of Hell,” located outside to the left of the entrance. He worked for years on it in plaster, but died before it was cast in bronze.

My favorite museum... For Rodin's work. For the building. For the garden, where you can access just for a walk, a tea, and spend time there. So inspiring and harmonious! Don't miss it. you can go walking from home (25 minutes).

this is my favorite museum in Paris and particularly when the weather is good as you can walk in its gardens while admiring Rodin statues and enjoying a drink! 25min distance by metro: line 8 from Strasbourg Saint Denis and change on Invalides with line 13, get out at Varenne.

Close to the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, the musée Rodin is one of the most enchanting place in Paris. It is composed of a unique 18th century mansion and a sculptures garden which covers nearly 3 hectares at the very heart of Paris. The perfect harmony of this garden laid out around Rodin’s…

Garden
“Majestic park overlooking the Luxembourg Palace. A visit here is most enjoyable at any time of the year. So much to see: the ducks swimming in front of the enormous Medici Fountain, children sending an armada of small boats across the pond, the parade of sculptures of the queens of France, the manicured Palace gardens. Take a seat and enjoy the people-watching! You can also just relax, enjoy a sandwich or read a book (plenty of chairs and benches). To do some jogging this is also a great place! Free entrance.”
