It is one of the most important places of worship of all Christendom. The miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of San Gennaro takes place there, three times a year. The immense treasure of San Gennaro, Patron Saint of the city, has been collected over the years thanks to the great devotion of Neapolitan people. The treasure is kept in a special museum, next to the Cathedral.
