Ostia is a large neighbourhood in the X Municipio of the comune of Rome, Italy, near the ancient port of Rome, which is now a major archaeological site known as Ostia Antica. Ostia is also the only municipio or district of Rome on the Tyrrhenian Sea, and many Romans spend the summer holidays there. Wikipedia

Ostia is the popular coast of Rome. A sea full of real life, of people, of young people and of dogs that run along the seafront. An ideal place to take pictures of a thousand year old sea, the Mediterranean, which here in the Tyrrhenian coast marked the beginning of Roman civilization according to the myth. You can easily reach Ostia beach taking the sea train from the very beautiful train station in Porta San Paolo decorated around 1920 by Giulio Rosso.
