Tasty fried dough tossed in sugar. Mix it up with other tossed flavors such as li hing powder (salty dried plum) or cinnamon sugar. Also some tasty fillings like custard, dobash, haupia (coconut), etc.
A Hawaiian classic. I love the filled malasadas. Be prepared to wait in line.

The pilgrimage to Leonard's and indulging on their renowned malasadas is an essential part of any visit to Oahu.
Famous Portuguese malasadas bakery. Many flavors available (custard, haupia, chocolate etc.) but my favorite is still the original sugar coated malasadas. Finger-licking good!

“Diamond Head hike is simply a must for everyone coming to Waikiki! Yes, it will be crowded, but yes, the views are worth it from the top! ** Pro tip-- once you get out of the tunnel, take the stairway to the LEFT, not the right. You end up at the same place, but it's a bit easier and more enjoyable going that way. ”

“Cheap no-frills fresh poke, lots of variety and hole-in-the-wall place. Recommend getting the half spicy ahi and half shoyu. They give you a local hawaiian drink with each poke bowl.”
