This is a fantastic cycleway from Tauranga to Omokoroa. You can join it from S.H. 2 at Bethlehem and cycle across the Wairoa Bridge through Te Puna out to Omokoroa and enjoy food and refreshments on the waterfront at the Omokoroa Boating Club or the local cafe overlooking the picturesque Tauranga Harbour - its absolutely stunning scenery all the way.

Great bike ride, mostly off road, with a cafe at the Omokoroa Beach end to refresh before return ride. You can park and start under the bridge at Wairoa River.

Newly completed cycle/walking trail. 19km in total, off-road fairly flat cycling. A great way to see the coastline. 17 minute drive to Omokoroa Beach Esplanade.

A stunning walk or cycle trail. Do as little or as much of the track as you wish. Enjoy some of the bay’s most scenic coastline and leaves you with a newfound respect for the tangata whenua who once lived here. The Bay of Plenty’s newest cycle trail - Te Awanui - runs 19 kilometres from Ōmokoroa to Wairoa River.
