English Heritage Site - Historical Landmark. They are the twin towers of the now demolished Church of St Mary the Virgin at Mistley. Designed by Robert Adam. The Thorn Restaurant in Mistley is worth a visit particularly if you like seafood. Manningtree with its collection of swans and pubs along the water-front is also pleasant to visit.

The Mistley Kitchen is a well renowned cookery school located in a fine Georgian Town house in the ancient port village of Mistley and offers one-day recreational hands-on cookery workshops for up to 12 participants. The Mistley Kitchen also offers great kitchen gadgets and cookware from all over the world at competitive prices. They also feature interesting handmade tableware, food-related artwork, wines and gifts so is a great place for a mooch! And maybe followed with lunch at The Thorn just 150 yds away or a visit to The Tea House by the swan basin across the road.
