Absolutely stunning, you truly feel like a dwarf standing next to these beautiful trees, well worth the drive deep into the forest. The road to Big Basin is a little rough, lots and lots of switch-backs and eventually a one lane road. If you gat car sick, bring dramamine and a bucket.

It's a beautiful park for camping, picnicking. It's a windy road to get there but if you can handle the road (which is also beautiful), the destination is well worth it!

Restaurant
“Our favorite restaurant! It has to be experienced because it's impossible to describe. Located in the hippie town of Ben Lomond, white table cloth dining where you can dress up or go in your sweats. AMAZING food and drink as well as a beer garden and live entertainment. Lots of cool local art on the walls and on a nice night you can dine outside in a redwood grove!”

“This train takes you from the majestic redwood to Santa Cruz beach broad walk and back. They have the oldest and most authentically preserved narrow-gauge steam engines dating back to 1883 :) ”
