Great small hike with a stunning lake in summer and a baby glacier all year round. It's less than a mile, but it's at 10,000ft so it will still kick your butt :)

St. Mary's glacier is actually a permanent snowfield for which St. Mary's gets it's namesake. The views are beautiful and you can bring skis or a snowboard year-round. It's an easy enough hike for small children, but has many variations for the more intense hikers.
