This is another nice park a bit further away. There is a large creek that runs through here, an off-leash dog area, playground and also a few fish if you want to wet a line. It's a nice stroll along the creek if not too hot.

Beautiful old fig trees. Kids play area, bbqs, walking/cycling track into Newcastle via the harbour, fish co-op, yacht club. Dog leash-free by the creek, willow trees,birds.

With lots of fun equipment as well as a scooter track, Islington Park is a great playground for kids of all ages.
