Sylva is a small town. But we have many basic chain takeout places. Also, at least one vegan restaurant, a few Tex-mix restaurants, one full service "American food" style restaurant. Several microbreweries and one wine bar are in Sylva. Nearby, in Dillsboro there is Haywood BBQ smokehouse, Kostos Greek restaurant, and Boots steak house. We are about 10 minutes away from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee. And, about 20 minutes away from Harrah's Casino, which has a buffet and Ruth Crisp's Steakhouse located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation.
