A must-do, this famous lake is home to a wide variety of outdoors activities. Pro tip: rent a kayak, paddle board, canoe or boat around sunset time to watch 1.5+ Million bats go out from under the South Congress bridge! You may also make a reservation at a bat sightseeing boat which includes a guided tour.

On any day you'll find scores of walkers and joggers move along the lakeside paths through nearby Zilker Park, but you can also take to the water by canoe, kayak, water bike, or stand-up paddleboard. You can't swim here, but the left fork (heading west) in the river will take you to Barton Springs…
You can go Kayaking or Paddleboarding on the lake and there is a running trail all the way around it that is awesome! I like the 4 mile loop.
This trail runs through the heart of the city. Start your stroll at the boardwalk on Riverside for the best views of downtown, and grab a cup of coffee at Alta's on the lake. There are several paddleboard and kayak rental shops along the lake as well.
This area is home to a scenic hike and bike trail as well as water activities such as stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing.
You can bike/walk/run around the lake trail or do water activities, such as kayak/row/paddleboarding on the lake. There are several places to rent kayaks/SUPs/canoes that are located along the lake trail.
Serene reservoir for paddling & walks Riverlike reservoir for kayaking & rowing, plus trails alongside for jogging & wildlife viewing.

Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”

“The Bullock Texas State History Museum tells the state's story through a variety of interesting interactive exhibits, along with audio-visual displays and film. The permanent Story of Texas exhibit is home to artifacts and displays that feature defining events in the state's history. Artifacts include the preserved hull of the 17th-century La Belle, which was shipwrecked at the mouth of the Mississippi River. Other exhibits and presentations include the fall of the Alamo, Tejano culture, and the history of the Texas oil industry. The museum's IMAX theater shows educational and popular new-release films.
