It's not as well known as its near neighbour Balmoral which has restricted access in August. At Braemar you can walk around the grounds or take a guided tour of the inside.

A small but interesting castle built by the Earls of Mar, now run by the local community who have worked had to restore it to its original state and continue to improve the building and visitor experience. A worthy enterprise to support. Please check the website for all relevant up to date information.

Beautiful castle, whilst there pop into Braemar- excellent coffees shops.
