Located at 124 Queen St, Clarence Rd Eatery is only a 2 minute walk away (150 metres). Clarence Rd Eatery is an Italian-influenced all-day cafe/restaurant in Northcote Point and occupying the historic building next door to the popular Bridgeway Cinema. Built in 1927 as a theatre and set of shops, the buildings old character arched windows have been retained and enhanced with an elegant contemporary fit out. Clarence Rd Eatery has a menu that changes daily, and features delights including truffle scrambled eggs and whitebait omelettes for breakfast, alongside fresh smoothies, juices and gelato shakes. If you’re after something to take away with an Allpress coffee, next to the impressive brass counter will be a cabinet filled with tempting, freshly baked pastries, sandwiches and salads like roast butternut, faro, raddicio and ricotta. From 11am, the Spanish Mibrassa char grill oven will be cranking, producing coal fired dishes including Hapuka caponata, beer marinated half chook or the daily butchers cut, as well as a selection of classic Naples-style pizzas. After 3pm, diners wanting a light meal can choose from sharing plates like salmon carpaccio, or cloudy bay clams with sauvignon blanc and fennel or classic meatballs.
