Less crowded than Rehoboth Beach. No boardwalk. No lifeguards. PAy entrance fee and then park. Easy . . .
This is a great place to hit the beach either by car or bike! (By bike it's free!) It is known for being particularly LGBT friendly. They sell hot dogs, sodas and other basic food, and they rent beach umbrellas too.
The park has a trail that leads to Lewes, good for hiking, biking and a long stroll along Gordon's Pond and looking out over the wildlife.
Walk or bike the trail (or hook up with the Junction Breakwater trail to Rehoboth or Lewes). Right near the beach but a world away.

“Opened in late 2018. Restaurant downstairs and piano bar upstairs (though not every night, check website). I like the upstairs balcony overlooking Baltimore Avenue, which has a bit of a New Orleans feel. ”

“The atmosphere and the services. Again we are mostly bar eaters, which means we sit at the bar drink and eat! The food is awesome. The bartender here is just as awesome-Randy and the piano player sits next to the bar Matthew is just as awesome. It is a small place. The owner-Amy also owns Houston White Co. ”
