Water street is a great shopping plaza with excellent food and local artists, craftspeople and talent. Have a cocktail while enjoying a brow of the ridge on the balcony.

Think funky boardwalk, but without the beach. This is a fun part of downtown New Paltz.

Bunch of shops. Nice place to walk around or sit and have a coffee. Upstairs there is a bar with outdoor seating & views. Right on the rail trail.

Water Street Market has two of our favorite places to shop for reasonable antiques: the Antiques Barn and Antiques on Main.
