Splendida ricostruzione di un borgo medievale. Consiglio visite guidate, anche con i bambini!

“Valentino is the most romantic park in Turin. Along the avenues that run along the Po you come across some characteristic clubs and restaurants overlooking the river called "imbarchini" (where time ago one was possible to rent a boat), the elegant Castello del Valentino and the picturesque Borgo Medievale, a mediveval village reconstruction with walls, drawbridge, craft shops and castle. ”

“Looking at Egyptian mummies and art may seem like one of the more unusual things to do in Turin, but, you won't find a better collection anywhere outside of Cairo, and it is Turin's most visited attraction. The Palazzo dell'Accademia delle Scienze houses the Egyptian Museum, whose collections began in 1824 when King Carlo Felice acquired 5,268 artifacts excavated in Egypt. These were supplemented by later expeditions, and today, the collections contain statues of various gods and of pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including Rameses II and King Thutmose III, along with papyruses, painted linens, a group of Shawabti figures and a Shawabti box, canopic vessels, mummies and sarcophagi, and two tomb chambers from Thebes. ”

“Il percorso storico-museale propone la scoperta delle celle dove uomini comuni soffrirono per l’affermazione dell’Italia libera e democratica. Si rievocano eventi criminali noti, gli Agenti di Custodia, storie di fine Ottocento, la Prima Guerra Mondiale, il Biennio Rosso, le lotte antifasciste, le persecuzioni razziali, la Resistenza in particolare nel famigerato Primo Braccio tedesco,”
