Woodland Park Zoo spans 92 acres, 70 of which are developed as exhibits and public spaces including entries and parking. See amazing wildlife from all parts of the world. There’s also a petting zoo for families to enjoy. Snack bars are available for a quick bite. Google for ticket and park hours…
Only a few miles away and they have great concert series in the summer, wine tasting and food events in addition to the entrance of the zoo.
I'm a sucker for zoos. My favorite exhibits at Woodland are the Tropical Rain Forest House and the Bug House
92-acre zoo with nearly 300 species, a vintage carousel, summer concerts & an indoor play space.
Seattle is lucky to have to have a wonderful zoo. We're a 10 minute drive away, so don't miss it.
Years ago, the zoo gave up enclosed structures and bars separating the animals from visitors. Now the experience is a green meander from exhibit to exhibit. World class zoo! Bonus...outdoor summer concerts. Our personal fav is Portland's Pink Martini, seen them multiple times there!

“The Fremont Troll was made famous by the movie “Ten Things I Hate About You”. This massive troll lives under the Aurora Bridge in the Fremont District. He holds a an old VW Beetle in his left hand. In the area there’s shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. Although parking can be a little difficult it’s worth the short walk to see the troll under the bridge.”
