A lovely, easy walk in beautiful Exmoor, with a good pub at the start/end of it (Tarr Farm Inn) with a beer garden overlooking the river. This beautiful circular walk is clearly signed and takes you along one bank of the river and back the other side, in around one hour.

Ancient clapper bridge you can make a lovely days hike from the farm across to Withypool and do a round trip about 15 miles. Lovely pub with, cream teas and ice-cream.

An ancient stone bridge, whilst it’s a busy spot, if you walk upstream for 10 minutes there’s a lovely pool in the river that’s good for wild swimming.

“Watchet’s very own zoo! Don’t be put off by its fading elegance and the slightly shabby facade. A very unusual spot. Tropiquaria Zoo is one of the most unique zoos or wildlife parks in the country. The former "Art Deco" BBC radio transmitter station originally built in 1933, now houses the Tropical Hall, Nocturnal House and Aquarium. Outside there’s 4 acres of animal enclosures, along with two life sized pirate ships, and an adventure castle. A great place to take the kids on a wet or sunny day. We hear tell the animals come first and are very well cared for. A unique place, great fun and deserves support. ”

“Good for a pint and simple pub meal The Bridge sits prominently next to the bridge at Dulverton about 1.5 miles walk from the yurt, a good stop off for an afternoons circular walk if looking to discover Dulverton on foot.”
