A short walk away from Langata Lower is Southshore Park. It is a nature reserve stretching across Southampton and Warwick Parishes. It has been designated as a national park since 1990. It starts at the eastern end of Warwick Long Bay and the western end of Horseshoe Bay Beach. The entire stretch is about 1.25 miles. The parkland has sandy walking trails along limestone cliffs and dunes many are just above the beach level. There are large spans of grassy areas as well on the way that are great for picnics. Many locals use the pathways for their daily fitness, be it a run or a walk.

Bermuda's best beaches stretch all along the south shore from Paget to Southampton. Apart from Horseshoe Bay when the cruise ship passengers descend, our beaches are unspoilt and uncrowded - even at the height of the season.
