I used to engage in the standard Portillo's/Al's debate but then at trade show I asked a local what's really the best Italian beef and he told me about Johnnie's and he was not wrong. The beef sandwiches here are just superb, perfectly tender and flavorful on excellent bread and with great tasting peppers.

Johnnie's Beef is the best neighborhood greasy spoon that specializes in the iconic Italian Beef. I have eaten here so often, I've lost count. There's always a line out the door, it's tht good! I always have mine juicy with sweet peppers and melted cheese. Fantastic!
