The nearest off-leash dog area, there's a lovely walking path beside a large lake populated with ducks and Canada geese. Parts of this area are very close to natural prairie.

Stunning park with multiple ponds along the river valley. If you're lucky you'll see some cranes in the water! This park has an off-leash area for dogs as well as a picnic area. Walking north you'll find the trestle-train bridge over the river.
