The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park offers the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridge (1.28 miles) with stunning, panoramic views in all directions. Easily accessible by car or train to Poughkeepsie station.

If you drive up to Poughkeepsie, an old rail bridge has been turned into a crazy-high pedestrian bridge that completely crosses the Hudson River.
Do NOT leave Dutchess County without walking OVER the Hudson River on this beautiful walkway which in its former life was an old railroad bridge connecting Dutchess and Ulster counties. Spectacular views - bring your cameras and plan on going during nice weather for amazing images.
