Great for date night or small groups. Amazing Italian food. Although it’s a nice walk up Main Street, you could alternatively take the trolley, which pulls up right in front of the restaurant (just ask the trolley driver to stop at Beale Street).

Catherine and Mary’s, located downtown with with modern industrial decor, is a perfect place for a celebratory meal or date, but also great for families. Based on famed Memphis chefs, Andrew and Michael’s Italian grandmothers’ recipes, the food is magnificent whether it is the grandmothers’ traditional original recipes or updated versions of Italian cuisine with a southern twist. The latest Memphis restaurant by the folks that brought you Hog & Hominy, Porcellino's, and Andrew Michael Kitchen (all also excellent)--located in an abandoned-for-decades-and-just-revamped historic hotel downtown, creative and delicious menu, excellent staff, great cocktails. This place is great for happy hour or for dinner.
