Nice, gentle two-mile hike - for beginners but enjoyable for every level. Worth the scenic drive and the park-entrance fee. Ramada's for picnics and public restrooms available.

If any of you think the desert is all brown and dull, Usery Mountain Regional Park will put that to rest real quick. With over 3,500 acres of pure natural wonder, the park is pure eye candy. Make sure to check out the Wind Cave Trail and the hanging gardens.

Offers a wonderful selection of desert hiking and picnicking options accessible to wide range of individuals. Choose from simple treks that are just a short distance from parking to more active climbs which provide scenic views of the Valley, or any of the numerous options in between.

“Our favorite pizza chain. Arizona-based thin crust Chicago-style (yes, not everything in Chicago is deep dish, though they do have that, too). Make sure to get a pizza cookie for dessert.”
