Concarneau is famous for its historic Ville Close, a walled town near the harbour, which used to be a centre for shipbuilding. There are a number of restaurants and shops in the Ville Close.

It has a walled town, lovely old buildings and lots of shops and restaurants, including great ice-cream shops. Also the third biggest fishing port in France, great for fresh shellfish. Shopping, lots of restaurants, indoor market daily market plus a weekly outdoor market. In the summer lots of festivals and events.
