Famous film site of “Last of the Mohicans”. Wonderful hiking and gorgeous views! A fabulous getaway for the day no matter what time of year.
Beautiful place to explore! It’s a state park so you have to pay to get in. You park your car at the top, and you can hike/walk up to the top or there is an elevator that can take you up. There are several hiking trails. Afterwards you can walk through the quaint town.
Long range, panoramic views from the top of Chimney Rock. Several different trails throughout the park, along with one to Hickory Nut falls.
This is a great place for some hiking! You won't be disappointed with the breathtaking views. Just be aware that most of the time the elevator isn't working, and its around 400 steps to get to the top otherwise.
