Rice Lake is now an attractive tourist area and is recognized for its recreational and sport fisheries. Rice Lake fish include panfish, walleye, muskellunge and bass. In addition in recreational fishing a number of annual fishing contests are held here. Reviews: -Fisherman's dream spot!... Loaded lake! -Nice lake for canoeing, fishing, and boating. A lot of motor boat traffic. Too weedy to swim much but still very nice. -This is a great fishing spot. We rented a pontoon for 10 people from a nearby store and had an awesome fishing trip. -Tons of places to visit and always enjoy finding new places. -Spent a week at a cottage on this river with my family. We had a great time swimming, canoeing and boating. I got a few chances to throw the line in the water and managed to get a couple of fish as well just off Spook Island.

This is one of the best fishing lakes around. Full of many species of fish and one of the shallowest lakes around you are likely to catch some great evening dinners here. Also fun to kayak and canoe around to see Great Blue Herons, Terns, Canada Geese and other wildlife.

Beautiful afternoon trip to a nice small town along Rice Lake. Town features two patio restaurants, Pizza, LCBO ,convenience store & marina, park & public bathrooms.
