Exeter Cathedral is beautiful, and the green area is nice (particularly when it's sunny). Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants in the area.

Cathedral Yard offers a mix of cafes,restaurants and shops all with a stunning view of the Cathedral.

Range of indie shops plus restaurants and some chains (Pizza Express) in various historic buildings around the Cathedral Green. This may be disrupted some of the time in 2017 as they rebuild the historic Royal Clarence Hotel in the corner of the Green, destroyed by fire at the end of October 2016.
