Excellent food and drink. Local Ales. Place where the treaty was signed following the last attempted invasion of Britain.
This place is homely, nostalgic and has a rich history connecting to the French invasion. Food is simple and full of flavour, go for the pie of the day if its on the menu - its extremely satisfying on a cold day. Def worth a visit.

“Another place for a special meal out. They've recently had a complete makeover and a new chef [with a Michelin star under his belt]. It has a contemporary country house vibe.”
