It took five years before anyone told us about this spot - What is so cool is that you can drive directly on to the beach. If you have a low riding car like a Prius - don't go. There are also no bathrooms so keep that in mind.

The public is welcome to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Stover’s Point Preserve. It’s a great place for swimming, relaxing on the gravel beach and enjoying the view of the iconic Cribstone Bridge. Bring water shoes to protect your feet from numerous barnacles. Please check visitor guidelines online for hours. Parking is limited. Speed limit 5 mph.

Magical place to spend the day. Go when the tide is highest, and as it starts to go out, let the kids float down the tidal river from the lagoon to the bay. They will remember it forever. Don't be scared by the drive onto the beach. it is rough, but if you go slow, you'll make it.
