Mount Jackson (4052') is the southernmost 4000 footer on Mt. Washington's southern ridge. This hike leaves from Crawford Notch (east side of 302 across the street and 100 yards north from the small parking area on the west side of the road. The trail loops over both peaks via the Webster-Jackson and Webster cliff trails. Rocky summit with 360 degree views. Strenuous. 6.5 miles round trip, 2,500 ft. elevation gain, 4.5 hours.
