Biking Quiet campground roads and the nearby Trans Canada Trail offer ample opportunities for biking. For more information check out www.kawarthatranscanadatrail.ca. Boating Pigeon River leads to the Trent Severn Waterway. This canal system links Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay and is popular with recreational boaters. There are two boat launches located in the park. Canoeing The wide Pigeon River offers excellent canoeing for beginners. If you do not have a canoe, you can rent one at the Park Store. Families love Emily Provincial Park for the friendly activities and secure location. During summer, the water is warm at the two sandy beaches (clearly marked with buoys). Boating and paddling are also popular on the water, with two boat launches on Pigeon River that connect to the Trent Severn Waterway. There are paddle boats and canoes for hire, giving you a peaceful glide across the water and a superb chance for wildlife viewing. There are also nature walking trials throughout the park, along with a snack shack.
