Around a 15 minute drive, there is ample parking and great to visit in all seasons. There is a lesser known quarry lake located nearby.
The east of Dartmoor between Widecombe and Bovey Tracey contains some incredible locations. Visit Emsworthy Mire in May for blankets of bluebells, cuckoos and lots of other wildlife. Holwell Lawn on the high moor also has a wonderful display of bluebells. Hay Tor and the other tors in the region…

Haytor rocks is iconic across Dartmoor. The Dartmoor ponies reside here quite often, as does the ice cream van! Lovely views, rocks to climb and walks. At the bottom of Haytor is a visitors centre, as well The Moorland Hotel and The Rock Inn for food and drinks.
