Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor offers a moody and atmospheric walk. It's no surprise this place is also the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tale, 'Baskerville Hounds'. There's a national trust shop which has some great Sherlock Holmes souvenirs and information too.

Around a 15 minute drive, there is ample parking and great to visit in all seasons. There is a lesser known quarry lake located nearby.

Haytor rocks is iconic across Dartmoor. The Dartmoor ponies reside here quite often, as does the ice cream van! Lovely views, rocks to climb and walks. At the bottom of Haytor is a visitors centre, as well The Moorland Hotel and The Rock Inn for food and drinks.
