Ex-River Cottage chef Nick Platt. Very relaxed café-come-restaurant environment. The food is rustic and akin to the food at River Cottage. The kid's menu received a special mention in the Sunday Times as one of their favourite places in Cornwall to take children to eat.
Fantastic food - also lots of vegetarian options. Great Sunday lunch. It’s a steep walk up the hill but much easier coming back! Alternatively jump in the car.

“Unique position in the historic traffic free Cornish village yards from the small beach that looks out across the Rame peninsula. Great value food. Local seafood is a speciality such as Lobster, potted crab, Moules Marinieres, or river Exe oysters. Open from 11am for coffee. Example lunchtime food includes: Plougmans, Cornish pasty or sandwich or even a full meal. In the evening Jerome, the Head Chef enjoys cooking local seafood and French specialities from his home country.”

“Cafe and sourdough bakehouse. The café is open for breakfast, lunch, home-made cakes, cream teas and coffee. All meals are accompanied with freshly baked sourdough bread from their own bakery. They bake delicious artisan pizzas on Monday from 5.30pm-8pm from April to September and on the last Friday of the month year round. On Sunday they bake "Sunday Snails" - delicious cinnamon buns that come out of the oven at 10am. They run one day "Learning to Bake Sourdough Bread" courses once a month. The course is suitable for everyone, whether you have baked bread before or not. ”
