Right across the street is one of the best look outs for spotting whales, dolphins, birds and watching the surfers. Stop in and grab some food at the Hastings General Store along the ways and sit on the cliff watching the waves crash against the shore and a the buzzing activity all around you!

Great spot for a picnic, to sit, relax and enjoy the view south to Cape Byron. A fantastic viewpoint to watch the migratory Humpback Whales from June to November. A 5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride from your stay.

Drive to the headland or park at the bottom and walk to the river mouth and along the beach up to the headland. Stunning views north and south to Byron Bay, the most easterly point in Australia. Perfect spot in whale watching season. Great for river mouth swimming , surf beaches, rock pools, park, walks and picnics.

This is where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (to be released in 2017). A whale skeleton was built on the beach near Cudgera Creek where Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and plenty of extras set up camp for the week.
