A few minutes walk up the beach, away from the crowds, you will find a beautiful tidal lagoon and wetland park where Umhlanga residents love to walk and hang out in their free time.

One of our favourite breathing place to explore .beautiful nature all around around and if you lucky you could spot the african fish eagles that fly over the lagoon .To mention we do live in South Africa best to go in a small group when sight seeing .

It is an easy family walk and gives you a break from the beaches if they are busy. The forest is also home to bushbuck, duiker and other small creatures. It is also within walking distance from our Airbnb. Best during the day. No charge applies to get in.
