The Amtrak Cascades Line collects here with multiple trips daily south to Salem and Eugene, and even more trips north to Seattle and Vancouver BC. Great views from the train to the west as the train route hugs the Puget Sound from Olympia to Seattle. The trains include a bar and bistro cart so you can have that beer or clam chowder as you make your way.

Great live jazz at the historic Portland Union station. From there, you can wander around downtown and check out other bars, including the Portland City Grill.

This is our main train station. If you have time, take the train to Seattle. It's 3.5 hrs and they have wifi. The view is beautiful. Take in a mariners game and come back.

Bus and train stop. Not in the best neighborhood. I recommend taking a Lyft or taxi if you come in at night.
