Swap the lights of Las Vegas for one day on a nature day trip and guided kayaking adventure in nearby Arizona. Travel to beautiful Willow Beach, surrounded by steep canyon walls along the Colorado River, the site of your kayaking activity. A great escape into rugged nature for the day. Start with a hotel pickup from the Las Vegas Strip. After arriving at Willow Beach Marina, get fitted for your kayak and away you go with your guide. Paddle north on the crystal clear Colorado River while your guide points out wildlife and geological features in your surroundings. Arrive at the Emerald Cave about 2 miles in — explore the grotto-syle cave with pristine green-colored waters. Remember your waterproof camera, you’ll need it. Next, take a short hike to visit the historical site of the River Gauger's home that overlooks the river for a great photo opportunity and amazing views. Here your guide will share history about the River Gaugers. After a quick pit stop for some snacks and refreshments, head back to the river with cool, flowing water that stays at 12 degrees Celsius (53 degrees Fahrenheit) all year round. Soak up the picturesque natural attractions as you meander your way back to your launching point, before catching your ride back to Sin City.
