Beautiful villages on the edge of Exmoor. Enjoy cream teas and visit the Valley of Rocks. Lots of places to eat and drink, including quaint tea rooms and galleries.
If the drive is just as important as the destination, then a trip to Lynton and Lynmouth is a must. The drive is truly stunning as you follow the coast over rolling hills and the views as you approach are spectacular! Whilst you are in the area, a visit to the Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet is definitely recommended.
This is a really unique place to visit, joined by its own cliff railway, Lynton and Lynmouth feel more like a seaside alpine retreat than a place in South West England! We normally park in Lynton take a walk around some of the shops then get the cliff railway down to Lynmouth, the beach is lovely for a stroll. Our favourite place for lunch is the Rising Sun.
