This beautiful park is only half an hour away. They save injured animals and give them a natural place to live until they can released. Its a wonderful place to bring children and its a beautiful walk along a wooden boardwalk.

Salmonier Nature Park is a wildlife rehab centre located in Salmonier, Newfoundland. A beautiful boardwalk trail encircles the park, along which one can view wildlife in its natural environments in protective captivity. The animals that are seen at the wildlife park are permanent residents of the park, having been deemed inappropriate for return to the wild due primarily to physical injuries. There rehab and release animals are not in view of the walking trail but returned to the area from which they were rescued when it is felt that they have recovered sufficiently to survive in the wild.
