Food Scene
There are so many good places to eat around here that it would be impossible for us to list them all but we have provided a small selection of some of the places we love - let us know if you eat somewhere in Dublin that you love and we'll add it to the list!
First off, they have a really amazing selection of beer - not the sort of beer you'd expect to find everywhere - the range is huge and spans the globe.
The food is delicious and reasonably-priced and it's all served up with a smile. We really like the Scotch Eggs... give them a try!

Love Supreme is a gem. The simple décor creates an oasis of calm, their sausage rolls are sublime and their little cakes and croissants a perfect little treat with the best coffee about.

Slice is a sister café to Cake Café situated off Camden St. It's tiny but has an impressive lunch and brunch menu as well as gorgeous cakes and 3FE coffee. If you can find a space here it's well worth it - everything is made in house and it’s always fantastic. Try the Beans On Toast - trust us!

Cowtown is a decent greasy spoon type café and do a good breakfast. Their potato cakes and French toast are worth a try!

'Equality For All Pollinators' is what they say and this place is great. Pick up some local honey, or perhaps some vinyl or antiques... you'll find all sorts of things in this great shop which is really close to us.
All their stock is local, environmentally-friendly and supports the local community.

Located just off Dublin’s largest public square, Urbanity is a small-batch roaster, speciality café, and all-day dining venue. They've been around since 2016 and are very popular.
They use great quality, locally sourced ingredients to create wholesome, interesting, and delicious dishes. The menus are always seasonal and the food is always fresh; specials change daily and look out for the cake counter.

Here we have gathered the places where we like to go for a drink. Some are close to us and others are in the city, some serve food and some don't but they're all well worth a visit!

Emma's favourite place to drink Strawberry Wine! It's a great place to go for drinks and food. You can sit in the bar and get absolutely delicious bar food or go to the dining area for a more formal meal. We highly recommend it!

The place is decorated floor to ceiling (including ceiling) with all manner of funky memorabilia and it's really well-worth a visit.
During the week at lunchtime, there is an excellent food stall out the back of the pub and it's worth a trip for that alone!

One of Dublin's original Victorian bars - it's a short walk from our house and we recommend it highly for the way it looks and there's a great steakhouse above it. Worth a visit!

Parks & Nature
The Phoenix Park is one of the largest enclosed recreational spaces within any European capital city and since the 17th century has been home to a herd of wild fallow deer.
The park contains Farmleigh House, Dublin Zoo, Ashtown Castle (which was built in the 1430s) amongst much more.
It's a great place to go for a walk or a run and you can hire bicycles at the park gates and cycle around for a day!
The Furry Glen is a great place to go for walks and collect pinecones. Best of all, the park is a 2-minute walk from our house.

You can walk to the Botanic Gardens from our house in about 40 minutes.

Getting Around
Heuston Station is the biggest train station in the country and a short walk away from us. Buses to and from the airport serve Heuston Station.
The train station is a gateway to the West and South of the country. It's about 10-15 minutes' walk from our house.
If you're using public transport to get to our house from the airport, the 747 bus goes from the airport to Heuston Station and from there you can walk to our house in about 10-15 minutes.
Similarly, if you're visiting us from Munster or the West, the house is a 10-15 minute walk from Heuston Station.

The number one tourist attraction in the country - you can visit the home of the world-famous pint of Guinness. There's a self-guided tour of the storehouse and spectacular views over the city from the Gravity Bar at the top the brewery.
