Just around the corner, West Side Diner is an excellent spot for breakfast. With a historic diner in the front and an attached building in back for a more modern atmosphere as well as outdoor dining, it's a winner.

Right across the street, this West Caribbean takeout is owned by the same family that owns the adjoining Italian restaurant. And, this extended family owns the best known local poultry farm, Baffoni's, which specializes in fresh cage-free and organic poultry.

Located in the Little Italy of Providence (Federal Hill -Atwells Ave), this is a favorite of mine for an assortment of prepared foods, cheese, breads, deli items and more. Well worth a stop. It makes the best Italian grinder you will ever have. Order an "Italian all the way on a hard roll". You won't be disappointed.
