Hengistbury Head is just a 10 minute car drive from Castle View or a 35 minute walk. It is a beautiful stretch of headland between Bournemouth and Mudeford. You can reach Mudeford Spit by walking across the headland and along a coastal path with beautiful views of Christchurch Harbour on one side and the open sea on the other. It is a site of international importance in terms of its archaeology and is scheduled as an Ancient Monument.

Christchurch Priory is the longest parish church in England and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. Parts of the church date back to the 11th Century. It is a must see, and only a stone's throw away from Castle View.

James and White is just at the end of Church Street and the bartenders are experienced in preparing a wide range of delicious cocktails. The atmosphere is always very convivial and they often have live music on Friday nights. There is also a restaurant serving a wide range of dishes. I particularly recommend the salmon teriyaki.

Getting Around
Christchurch Station offers regular trains to London and the journey is usually between 1 hour and 50 minutes (fast train) and 2 hours and 20 minutes.
