Cafe Woodworks has consistently good food in generous "country" portions, and the best chocolate thick shakes ever! Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cosy, surrounded by beautiful artworks and wood-work from the gallery. It's open 7 days, including a takeaway coffee window from 7-9am and dinner from 6pm Thursday to Sunday. Occasional live music events include quality jazz and classical performers. Bookings are recommended on weekends.

The Gathering is a local favourite, on the "local" main street. It has Lonsdale coffee from Canberra and wholesome satisfying food. Contemporary styling and a very friendly team.

The Lake George Hotel is a country pub with all the usual facilities, as well as their surprisingly good restaurant ‘George Dining & Bar’. A large, stylish space with friendly service, they have a great local wine list, a good menu, huge fireplace in winter & comfy leather lounges. Suitable for large groups (recommend booking), they also have a great back yard and playground for children. (Only drawback: Little bit pricey for a country pub.)

Apart from selling her own beautiful and modern work, she is also an agent for the iconic Australian 'Fink' designs, and hosts numerous exhibitions for local artists, including painting, ceramics, textiles and mosaic.
