This little sandwich shop is one of our favorite businesses in the area. We love the Steak Gone Bananas, the Cuban Gone Bananas, the Chicken Gone Bananas, the Cafe Cubano, Flan, and fried bananas. It's a popular little place, but there's rarely a long wait as the food comes out pretty fast.

This is a little known backdoor entrance to Lake Jocassee. It's safe for hikers of all ages and abilities, and a couple detours take visitors almost to the waters edge. Bring your kayak or paddleboard if you're feeling ambitious, but be prepared for a bit of portage before you're able to get your feet wet. There are no amenities so bring your own food and water, and please pack out your trash.

Lake Jocassee is a micro-ecosystem with plants and animals that exist nowhere else on the planet. It is worth your time to do some reading about it before heading out. There is a beach, and boats are available for rent. You will need to leave as early as possible to get in as the park fills up quickly.
