Yummies is our absolute favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch. My son has tried everything on the menu and the only thing he wouldn't order again is the waffles because he thinks they are too overcooked for his liking. Yummies is located just down the street from our condo. They are open until 2 p.m. each day.

This is my dad's favorite place to get breakfast tacos. I always order the potato, egg and cheese and it is delicious added with their salsa. If you order coffee you might want to bring your own sweetener as they only have regular sugar and Sweet'n Low.

I am mentioning HEB because this one simply has the best donuts on the Island. We have given Captain Donut on the Island many chances to redeem themselves, but they have fallen short too many times to recommend. One of my kids loves the sugar donuts, while the other likes the plain glazed and the chocolate long johns with the cream in the middle. Yum!

We eat Pizza from here, usually by take out about once per week. # is (956) 761-7995. This local establishment has been around forever. Sometimes its difficult to get through as they will stop answering the phone if they get too busy, but just call back and eventually you will get ahold of them. :)

If you're looking for a place off the beaten path and want to interact with colorful locals, "Boomies" is the place to go. It's right on the beach, the food is cheep and the conversation is always memorable. Check it out!

If you're looking for a place off the beaten path and want to interact with colorful locals, "Boomies" is the place to go. It's right on the beach, the food is cheep and the conversation is always memorable. Check it out!
We have been coming to Kohnami for years. Benje is the owner and is such a nice and entertaining person. They have moved their location to a much nicer space in the same building and their hibachi is not only entertaining for kids and adults alike but the food is wonderful!

I'll be the first to admit this place looks somewhat dumpy from the outside. However, they have the best-cooked shrimp of any restaurant down here. I like their grilled shrimp the best, and it's always cooked to perfection :)
