Our favourite spot for a coffee in the morning or a wine in the evening. This gorgeous little cafe / wine bar is set in an old bluestone house on the corner of Napier & Kerr St, just 5 minutes walk up the road. We love to sit outside on the tree lined street. They have a small but beautiful food menu, of which seasonal local produce is carefully selected using only the finest ingredients. Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

This Eastern European Bakery is an institution on Brunswick Street. They make fabulous bread, Amazing Danishes & Croissants. The Best Lemon Tart I have had anywhere in the world! The Best Sandwiches & House made Pies on Brunswick Street. If you want to try something different they have some great Russian / Polish dishes on the menu like Borscht, & Cream Cheese Blintzes.

The Best Sandwiches & House made Pies on Brunswick Street. If you want to try something different they have some great Russian / Polish dishes on the menu like Borscht, & Cream Cheese Blintzes.
This Croissanterie, sells nothing but croissants, cruffins & coffee. But they are the BEST Croissants you will probably ever have in your life! Flavours change daily - The Almond is our absolute favourite! On weekends there can be a long line of people waiting for their croissant fix, we recommend getting in early or popping in on a Thursday or Friday when its not as busy. They only stay open until the croissants sell out, this can be around 2pm ish sometimes.

Gerald's Bar is an absolute favourite. Located in the beautiful Rathdowne Village approximately 15 mins walk from our apartment, you can walk down Napier Street towards the park take a left into Newry Street and continue all the way along until you hit Rathdowne Street. Take a right and Geralds is just a couple of minute up the road. Full of character, a fabulous record collection and wine list. Whether it be for a drink outside on a warm summers evening or a cosy meal in at the bar. The food menu changes daily and is usually fabulous!
