普段から華やかでインターナショナルな雰囲気のアラハビーチ。まさにイメージは西海岸的！
バスケットコートやがあり、また、ランニングコースも設定されているので、ジョガーも多く見かけます。ビーチは監視員がおり、もちろん海はキレイで透明度もばっちり。また、マリンスポーツ各種、ビーチパーティー（バーベキュー）用の東屋、帆船をモチーフにした大きな遊具、温水シャワーなどの施設もご利用できます。サンセットも奇麗ですので、アフター海水浴もまた、ステキなひと時。

デイジーズカフェは沖縄北谷にあるアメリカンなペット可カフェ。北谷のアラハビーチ前に立地するオシャレなカフェです。アメリカンでありながら、豊富なメニューは何度訪れても飽きが来ないようです。アラハビーチが目の前にあって、最高のロケーション～。いるだけで癒されます。
ココのメニューはほとんど食べてみましたが、ホントに全部おいしいので毎回来るたんびに決めきれなくて困ってます☆

A few weeks later, we happened by Daisy’s a little earlier in the day. The menu looked like standard beach fare, and we contemplated burgers, a variety of taco rice concoctions, salads, chicken and fish before settling on a tuna sandwich with some fries.
Everything is made to order by a great staff who give their all. They grow their own rosemary and basil, and they don’t serve food that doesn’t look and taste great.
This is a pet-friendly establishment and they will bring your dog a dish of water when you get your glasses of water and menus. There are even leash hooks and now and again the manager’s dog, Bounce, will be in the house.

Bovino's Brazilian BBQ
1-chōme-12-7 ChatanOut on the hunt one night, we came upon Bovino’s, which recently opened in October (2010). Driving up we noticed the bright yellow billboard enticing us in. Once we realized it was a Brazilian BBQ, we became excited, as we have eaten at a few back in the states. Brazilian dishes vary throughout the world as each area tends to modify items to specifically adapt to the local conditions. The one thing all traditional Brazilian restaurants have in common is that you can expect their cooking to be fresh, simple, and in abundance (large portions!).

I don’t drink alcohol, but there were plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from, and they also make all of their specialty drinks non-alcoholic. English is printed right on the menus, and pictures of dishes are posted out front. When we asked for the owner’s name, he told us everyone calls him “Dragon.” He was very friendly and liked to tell great stories (ask him to tell you the “cat food” story). He also explained every dish to us, telling us how it is prepared and cooked and even recommended dishes based on our likes/dislikes.

Have you gone to the Cactus Eatrip bagel shop on 58? If you haven’t, you’ve gotta hustle on down because there is some yummy, chewy, bagel-y goodness to be had. Actually, I should be getting down on my knees in thanks to Melissa for giving me a heads up about this joint. It took me a while to finally make it there, but after I did, I came back like three times that very week.
My favorite item at Cactus Eatrip is the avocado-tomato-lettuce-cream cheese sandwich made on their very own fresh-baked basil bagel. It’s a messy affair; always the sign of excellence in a sandwich.
