Tall pines serves beer and wine made in New Mexico. They have the best outside patio in Ruidoso. You can sit and drink and watch the street traffic. They have live music often. They sell local arts and crafts, very unique items. Limited food menu eat before or after your visit. Many people have pizza delivered . The owners are the nicest people you could hope to meet. They want you to enjoy your experience at Tall Pines. Tall pines also has a chalet they rent nightly. It's super cute and in a great location.

Spencer theater is a spectacular building with chihuly glass. Free tours are given on specific days. Worth the tour. The building has wonderful acoustics if you want to see a show.

Nice museum about Smokey the Bear. Beautiful drive to Capitan. There are several good restaurants in Capitan. Our favorite is Oso Grill. Capitan also had a really nice little grocery store. The grocery store has fresh food counter with burgers, BBQ , desserts.

Grindstone lake has biking and hiking trails. Fishing is allowed at the lake. More recently, swimming in the lake and small boat craft usage has been available. Great place to enjoy nature.

Ski apache recently purchased new gondolas they are very roomy. You can take your mountain bike up the gondola and bike down the mountain. There is also a zip line at the top of the mountain.
