The Danube Island is not so far away and still feels like 'outside' - lots of green, equipped beaches, various places and you can also try wake-boarding there.

Perfect with children, but also without very nice, are the calm waters behind Klosterneuburg. On the spacious meadow there is a playground, the first meters in the water fall very shallow and the gravel is neither pointed nor muddy. Next to the place you can rent a sailing boat, pedal boat or electric boat and get a first class salad at the buffet restaurant.
The adult section offers small bays for nature lovers and nude swimmers (Free admission). Friedl Gastro at the end of the bay also regularly organizes small concerts and parties in summer.

On the spacious meadow there is a playground, the first meters in the water fall very shallow and the gravel is neither pointed nor muddy. Next to the place you can rent a sailing boat, pedal boat or electric boat and get a first class salad at the buffet restaurant.

From the Gloriette in Schönbrunn you get a beautiful view over almost all of Vienna. Just around the corner is the 'Tiergarten'/Zoo and, of course, the Schönbrunn Palace with the huge parking area and the (futuristic) palm house

At the Kahlenberg you really see the whole of Vienna from the top - great view and there is also a place (touristy - so more expensive) for breathtaking. TIP: It's absolutely recommended to go via Stadtwanderweg 1, this trail is a not too difficult route that will take you about 1 1/2 to 2 hours on the Kahlenberg. (See: https://www.wien.gv.at/umwelt/wald/freizeit/wandern/wege/wanderweg1.html - also the other hiking trails are recommendable - might sound boring but it is not) If this is too much There is also a bus which stops at the Kahlenberg (38a)
